Crossed roller slewing bearings geared and ungeared
Crossed roller slewing rings are suitable for applications with high rigidity, high precision, and high load capacity requirements. Due to the X-shaped arrangement of the cylindrical rolling elements, axial forces, radial forces, and tilting moments can be accommodated in a compact bearing location.
Crossed roller bearings in three designs
Depending on the drive concept and installation space, we supply crossed roller slewing rings as ungeared, externally geared, or internally geared versions.
Untoothed
For applications where the rotational movement is implemented externally or without integrated gearing.

External teeth
For compact drive solutions with a pinion and external power transmission.

Internally toothed
For enclosed gearing in indoor areas and space-saving integration of the drive.

Cylindrical rolling elements in X-arrangement
Crossed-roller rotary joints consist of an inner ring, an outer ring, spacers, and cylindrical rolling elements. The rollers are arranged in a crossed pattern, thereby providing high rigidity while maintaining a compact design.
Thanks to the double-sided sealing and regreasing capability, the bearings are designed for robust, long-lasting, and precise rotary movements.
For precise and heavy-duty rotary movements
Crossed roller slewing bearings are used wherever high loads, high rigidity, and precise guidance must be combined in a compact bearing location.
Important criteria for selection
Load, accuracy, backlash class, preload, gearing, and bolting are decisive for sizing.
axial and radial forces
Due to the X arrangement, axial and radial forces can be absorbed in a compact bearing position.
Tipping moment
Crossed roller bearings are particularly suitable for applications with high tilting moments and high bearing rigidity.
Play & Preload
Versions with normal clearance, reduced clearance, or preload can be supplied.
Material
Inner and outer rings are made of hardened and tempered steel. Raceways and rollers are hardened. Optionally with black oxide finish
gearing
The toothing is not hardened by default, but can be made hardened for high requirements.
Tolerances
Tolerances, tilting clearance, concentricity, and axial runout are determined depending on the technical requirements.
