Crossed roller slewing rings are suitable for applications with high rigidity, high precision, and high load capacity requirements. Due to the X-shaped arrangement of the cylindrical rolling elements, axial forces, radial forces, and tilting moments can be accommodated in a compact bearing location.

Structure

Cylindrical rolling elements in X-arrangement

Crossed-roller rotary joints consist of an inner ring, an outer ring, spacers, and cylindrical rolling elements. The rollers are arranged in a crossed pattern, thereby providing high rigidity while maintaining a compact design.

Thanks to the double-sided sealing and regreasing capability, the bearings are designed for robust, long-lasting, and precise rotary movements.

Inner and outer rings are made of hardened and tempered steel. Raceways and rollers are hardened. Optionally with black oxide finish

The toothing is not hardened by default, but can be made hardened for high requirements.

Tolerances

Tolerances, tilting clearance, concentricity, and axial runout are determined depending on the technical requirements.
