Slewing drives for industry and mechanical engineering
ATH Technik is a German supplier and system partner for enclosed, worm-gear driven slewing drives . The product range for industry and mechanical engineering extends from compact standard designs to robust heavy-duty variants with a Overturning moment of up to 1,600 kNm and a Output torque of up to 170 kNm.
Unlike pure hydraulic swing motors or excavator swing drives, these slewing drives combine a slewing ring, worm gear, and protective housing into a compact unit. They can be powered hydraulically or electrically and supplied as a complete system including engineering, brake, position measurement, and customer-specific control. Typical application areas are plant engineering, material handling technology, drilling rigs, cranes, and special-purpose machinery. The worm gear toothing enables controlled movements and can have a self-locking effect, but does not replace a safety-relevant brake.
