Slewing bearings with and without internal/external gear teeth
Slewing rings and slewing bearings combine high load capacity, high tilting moments, and precise rotational movements. ATH Technik supplies standard slewing bearings as well as custom designs according to drawings for all applications.
The right slewing bearing for your application
Depending on the load case, installation space, and drive concept, we differentiate between gearless, externally geared, and internally geared slewing bearings, as well as light and heavy-duty series.
Untoothed
For applications where the rotational movement is implemented externally or without integrated gearing.

External teeth
Four-point contact bearing with external gearing for compact drive solutions with pinions.

Internally toothed
For protected internal gearing and compact drive integration.

Untoothed
Heavy-duty solid material construction for higher loads and robust machine designs.

External teeth
For high radial, axial and tilting moment loads with external power transmission.

Internally toothed
Heavy-duty ball slewing rings with internal gearing for demanding applications.

Inner ring, outer ring, rolling element and seal as a robust unit
Slewing bearings consist of an inner ring and an outer ring with mounting holes. The raceways and rolling elements are designed in such a way that forces in axial and radial directions can be absorbed.
Thanks to double-sided seals and grease nipples, the bearings are designed for long-lasting and continuous or oscillating rotary motion.
Slewing bearings for numerous industries
Our slewing bearings are used wherever high loads must be safely supported and controlled rotational movements must be achieved.
Important criteria for selection
For the sizing of a slewing bearing, the loads, the installation situation, the gearing, and the bolting are decisive.
axial and radial forces
The applied forces are considered in both the axial and radial directions. In addition, application and safety factors are taken into account.
Tipping moment
The overturning moment is caused by off-center force application and is a key value for selecting the appropriate bearing size.
screw connection
The load on the threaded connection must be designed to suit the application. The basis includes, among other things, the property class and assembly conditions.
Material
Outer and inner rings are made of quenched and tempered steel. Raceways are hardened, rolling elements are through-hardened. Optionally with black oxide finish
gearing
Gear teeth are not hardened by default, but can be designed accordingly for high requirements.
Tolerances
Tolerances, tilting clearance, concentricity, and axial run-out are determined depending on the technical requirement.
Also as a crossed roller slewing ring or slewing bearing for excavators
In addition to traditional slewing bearings, we also supply cross roller slewing bearings and matching slewing rings for excavators and mini excavators.
Measure slewing bearing?
We also manufacture slewing rings and slewing connections as custom designs based on a sample or drawing. You are welcome to send us your existing slewing connection. We will measure the component, create a technical drawing, and manufacture a suitable replacement – even for older or no longer available models.
